Community Announcement: Update on the direction of #OKFn! For the last half year, OKFN has been working on evolving the organisation to address certain scaling problems. The results will be published over the next month. But just to tease you, these are the two main points of focus: *Strategy*: You would be excused for getting lost on okfn.org (in fact, thats why I visit!) but they seem to think that they are doing too much of everything. So in order to keep the organisation on track, they have developed a strategy and are adjusting the course of their projects accordingly. It will become clearer what OKFn does, and what their goals are. *Communication*: Part of that is being better at explaining what Open is and why it is important. They are revamping their brand, their website, and have developed a set of graphics to explain their work and its relevance to people outside the community. The new site will launch on April 14, and will feature the new brand and the graphics. Very much looking forward to their designs. They are also working on more materials/kits to provide their local groups with, so it becomes easier to bootstrap local efforts. Stay tuned!
