Community Calendar Events- Saturday, September 21, 2013 South Central Kentucky Cultural Center Harvest of History will be tonight at 6PM. Walk among the resting places of our ancestors at the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery, while hearing stories of the past lives in dramatic reenactments. Tickets are $10 per person and can be purchased at the Cultural Center. Transportation is provided to the cemetery from the cultural center. If raining Friday or Saturday night the event will be held at the cultural center instead of the cemetery. Barren Bass Masters 39th Annual Open 2013 Fall Classic will be held today beginning at Port Oliver at Barren River Lake. Registration begins at 5:30am and the tournament will run from 7 until 3pm. Entry fee is $35 a person. For more information call John Dixon at 270-784-6020. POW/MIA Recognition Day will be held tonight on the Glasgow Public Square beginning at 5pm. There will be static displays and information on POW/ MIA’s, JROTC rifle program, Missing Man Table Program, DAV 21 gun salute with taps and wreath laying. Speakers include, Mayor Rhonda Trautman, Judge Executive Davie Greer, Ernie Wagoner, President of the Freedom Warriors and Jimmie Dixon, President of Rolling Thunder KY Chapter 2. Slick Rock School Reunion will be today from 1PM to 4PM at Eastern Elementary School. Attendees are encouraged to bring pictures, newspaper articles and other memorabilia. No invitation will be sent. For more information contact Kyle at 427-4432. Family and Friends of J. C. and Wallace McGuire will gather for their annual reunion today at the Glenn McGuire Farm. A Potluck Lunch will be served at 1pm. Foster Adoptive Parent Association will sponsor a Pancake Breakfast and Silent Auction today from 7am to 12noon at the Columbia Avenue Church of Christ. All you can eat pancakes eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy for $6.00. Children 10 and under eat for $4.00. There will also be inflatables, auction items, raffles and much more.
