Community Services, Women and Youths Employment Project attains complete 118,984 beneficiaries deployment (Labour Ministry Report) - The Minister of Labour and Productivity, Emeka Wogu has stated that the Community Services, Women and Youths Employment (CSWYE) Project of SURE-P will consolidate on the achievements of last year for an improved productivity in the new project year. Emeka Wogu, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity, Clement Illoh made this remark recently while addressing the first review meeting of the State Coordination and Implementation Committee of SURE-P in Abuja. “As we roll into a new project year, it is necessary to plan towards consolidating on the gains and eliminating the constraints of last year for better results. CSWYE has achieved 100% deployment of the 3,000 first ramped up beneficiaries in each of the thirty - six states and the Federal Capital Territory and also retained the 7,984 pilot beneficiaries in twelve states. The Minister explained that as part of its achievements, the CSWYE project has put in place an automated monitoring and evaluation framework, adding that a data management system was also designed and installed. He indicated that the project also commenced integrated beneficiary biometric registration, identification, communication and e-payment system (BICE) with empowerment content. Speaking on behalf of the State Coordination and Implementation Committee Chairmen, the Edo State Chairman of SCIC, Lucky Imasuen commended the Minister for taking the CSWYE project to an enviable height since its relocation to the Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity. He affirmed the resolution of his colleague to further work with the Minister and his team to ensure that the CSWYE project contributes meaningfully to the Transformation Agenda of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
