Companies in the Standard & Poors 500 index are set to spend $914 - TopicsExpress

Companies in the Standard & Poors 500 index are set to spend $914 billion US this year on share buybacks and dividends. The trend of returning money to shareholders comes at a time when companies are putting less into their own capital expansion and returning only a marginal amount more to workers.
