Comparing to Matthew McConaugheys performance, Leos performance is rather one-dimensional. It is definitely enjoyable, but it lacks a certain elements. With all the shouting and getting high, the character Jordan Belfort seems unchanged at the end. (maybe because of the plot?). It is also quite similar to his previous roles. (Calvin Candie in Django Unchained, the Millionaire in The Great Gatsby) In contrast, Matthews performance shows the inner growth of the character in terms of fighting for justice and socio-political participation. A remarkable display in his career!
