Concept of Operations (Part 1 objective “Targeted Lobbying Campaign” achieved) As of today, Fairgo4all believe we have achieved Part 1 of our objective, “Targeted Lobbying Campaign”, through face to face meetings with politicians, politician’s advisers, in Canberra, Brisbane, Wellington and Auckland, news print media coverage, live radio interviews, TV coverage, and blanket cyber news coverage, with the final goal achieved only a few days prior to the Australian Election. Which was to pressure the NZ Prime Minister John Key and the Coalition Leader Tony Abbott to comment via the media on the plight of the OZKIWI’s (and what a comment), John Key “I wouldn’t be overly confident there would be a dramatic change” and Tony Abbott, “I don’t believe that New Zealanders ever complain… I know. I married one”. These two comments by PM John Key and PM (elect) Tony Abbott put the OZKIWI’s campaign for change, on the map. (or we should say, on the political agenda) Part 1 achieved. As you would now all know, Fairgo4all was set up as a direct action campaign with a clear strategy and direction. Our primary goal was and still is to “End Government Discrimination against New Zealand Migrants”. We are not a blog site, there are other sites operating for this, although we welcome comments and appreciate your support, but the overall number of “Likes” or “Dislikes” our Fairgo4all Facebook page receives, was never the our objective and is still not. To “End Government Discrimination against New Zealand Migrants” is the sole objective of the Fairgo4all campaign. Part 2 - “To change Australia’s Migration and Citizenship Laws for New Zealanders living in Australia under a Special Category (sub class 444) Visas issued after 27 February 2001 (post 2001 SCV) to create a fair and reasonable pathway for: Permanent Residency and Citizenship” (Still to Achieve). Today Fairgo4all sent formal submissions to the Australian Federal Coalition Government (at the request of the Coalition) as a first step in achieving Part 2 of our objective. Over the coming months Fairgo4all will be sitting down with the Coalition Government to advance what we have achieved so far, and to try and get a satisfactory result for all OZKIWI’s that now call Australia home. Remember, we are not starting from scratch here. Fairgo4all already has developed and excellent relationship with the advisory staff to Scott Morrison.
