Concrete Plant Operative Shift Pattern applies Salary: £9.43/hr + paid overtime + Bonus Permanent An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Concrete Batcher at our Newark based client. You will be responsible for the operation of computerised batching systems in order to produce concrete to customer specification and required technical standards. Responsible for the day to day safe and efficient running of the concrete plant. Responsible: • Hands on role producing concrete to meet internal quality requirements • Conducting administration tasks, including use of IT systems, required to efficiently operate the site • Responsible for weekly and monthly stock checks • Ensuring timely delivery of materials • Controlling the drivers, visitors and contractors coming onto site • Reporting any defects • Conducting general site maintenance. • Assisting our maintenance technicians and business partners in maintaining & improving site standards. The Candidate • Good level of physical fitness • Flexibility and initiative are essential • You should be self-motivated & responsible • Good communication skills and an ability to work effectively with customers & suppliers • A commitment to Health, Safety & Environment standards • Previous experience in concrete/mortar production would be beneficial but not essential • A flexible and positive attitude to working times in line with the projects requirements • Full driving licence We would consider applicants from a Civil Engineering or similar manufacturing/production background, however, you must have good PC skills.
