Condemned was He, Who took on our sin and shame, Gods only begotten son, Jesus Christ is His name For upon the old rugged cross, His blood did shed, When at the sixth hour, He was declared dead Yet on Easter morning, When all hope seemed to be lost, Appeared alive and risen, The man who had paid the cost More than just cute rabbits and coloured eggs, Is the day of Easter, so beautiful and true, When men, women, and child are given A love everlasting, a second chance, and hope renewed A poem for the Saviour who gave it all and continues to give today.
