Confession #924 !!READ CAREFULLY!! the FULL insight of Velammal MAIN SCHOOL Ive completed my 12 years of school life in Velammal. Here is the pros and cons. Pros: Very good Environment Timeless coaching More Extra-Curricular activities Sports and games were good Repeated model exams Knowledged and skilled Teachers Laboratory conditions are good Prompt Study materials and adjusting to suitable situvations Cons: Discipline oriented (Should not talk to girls, No electronics, No late coming, Hair cut, Nail cut) About PET: The greatest disadvantage of the school is about its PET. Most are like street gangsters except few. They will speak in bad words and bad language. Whatever you do they will see you in the bad perspective. You cannot enter into the class without your hair or Nail cut. And there will again come search for the same during the lunch hours. Because of this many students will try to eat feeble fast and go to ground floor to escape from them. In some situations they will even beat you for this. And sometimes for no reason. Like the PET (Mr.Umamahaeshwaran). And there will be sudden check during the class hours for unnecessary reasons. They will check your bag, Lunch inorder to find something suspicious with you. And will ask stupid questions. And during lunch time too. You are not allowed to visit your friends class. Chat around corridor. They will monitor your every foot print. They are the major bug that is destroying the whole school name. About Academics: When it comes to Academics, Your mark is guarantee pass. But your knowledge level is ZERO. For everything they have ready notes available. And the concept of Blind-learning has been very popular in Velammal. If you study well than average they will GROUP YOU SEPERATE with another class called TOPPER SECTION. And if you are obtaining low marks. They will brand you in Weaker SECTION. And there will not be any proper response from the higher authorities. They will perform in a way with parents and entirely different way with you. For X and XII also they will still give make you to write in notebooks even for Tamil and English non-details. Home Works will be heavy. Way more than any other schools in the World. You have to allocate 3 HOURS daily for doing HOME WORKS. About campus: Power cuts are often. And in the worst cases. They will force you to wear Ties with collar button. Even if there was a power-cut. Worst management in these types of issues. There will be absolutely no freedom that you can get. There are questions for everything. You cannot expect what will happen next. About Holidays: Sunday is the only holiday that you can get loaded with tons of homeworks too. All saturdays are working days. All that they provide in the diary are FAKE rules. About leave and late regulations: You cannot obtain leave even for serious conditions. You have to send your parents before 9.00am and they will purposefully make them wait for 30 mins in the HM hall. Then they will receive the leave letter from your parents. In some cases then also they will mark as absent intentionally inorder to gain money after 3 continuous absent days with the sum of Rs.300. Then the amount will go upto Rs.1000 for consecutive days. A single day late is counted as half working day absent. So even if you are late by 5 min they will consider it as half day absent. This can also lead you to fine. About Extra-Curricular: The management will waste alot of money on bringing Actors, Politic peoples, Sport players. To simple show their strength and influence about their school and to attract more students. Atlast, They will cancel the Annual day inspite of this There will be lot of sports and games will take place. But you cannot participate even in one. They will chose only lower grade students. About canteen: The canteen is just like sworn of flies during lunch and break timings. They only offer JUNK foods. Nothing is healthy there. Out of no choice, students will eat and drink junks. There will be no Q-line. And the place will be the noisiest place in the school. And products offered will be Premium priced. Hence its my advice too all Parents and children to look after these circumstances. #12A8..2014 True that! Especially the P.E.T teachers part.They wont spare even a dairy milk and will refuse to return it back :/
