Congrats to all the 2015 Helen Hayes award nominees!!! Especially to those alumni and faculty of the Conservatory. Our list of nominees includes... Alumnus and Education Director Doug Wilder - Nominated for the Robert Prosky award for outstanding lead actor in a play. Faculty member Matthew Basset - Nominated for Outstanding direction of a play. Faculty Member Tia Shearer Basset - Nominated for Outstanding Ensemble in a play. Faculty Member Matthew McGee - Nominated for Outstanding Supporting actor in a play and outstanding ensemble in a Play. Conservatory adjunct Faculty member Maggie Erwin - Nominated for Outstanding supporting actress in a play, and twice for outstanding ensemble in a play. And to Flying V, currently rehearsing at the Conservatory, and employing Conservatory alumni Doug Wilder and Kaylynn Creighton and Conservatory faculty member Matthew McGee in The Pirate Laureate and the King of the Sea. For winning the John Aniello award for Outstanding Emerging Theater! Be sure to send them all Congratulations for their outstanding work. Its been a terrific year for the Conservatory and DC Theater!
