Congrats to the local participants!!! Twenty High School Students Hope to Represent Indiana in National Finals WHAT: Twenty juniors and seniors representing various high schools across Indiana will meet in Indianapolis to face-off in the Ford/AAA Student Auto Skills competition. The students will race against the clock to correctly identify and repair intentionally installed bugs in identical 2014 Ford Fiestas. After properly diagnosing and repairing the vehicle, teammates must drive their Ford across the finish line, where their accuracy and workmanship will be judged. In addition to receiving scholarships and prizes, the winning team will represent Indiana at the National Finals June 8-10 at Ford World Headquarters in Dearborn, Mich. There, they will compete against students from 49 other states for the national title. WHEN: Apr, 25 2014 (Friday); 9:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. WHERE: Crowne Plaza Indianapolis Airport - 2501 South High School Road, Indpls. WHO: Indianas top automotive technology students competing in this years state finals include: • McKenzie Career Center (Indianapolis, IN) • South Adams High School (Berne, IN) • Tri County Automotive (Covington, IN) • Southridge High School (Huntingburg, IN) • Tri Vo Auto Service Tech (Crawfordsville, IN) • Elkhart Area Career Center (Elkhart, IN) - three teams • Indian Trails Career Center (Monticello, IN) • Central Nine Career Center (Greenwood, IN) DETAILS: Each two-student team earned a spot in the Indiana finals by receiving one of the states top scores in the preliminary online exam. The Ford/AAA Student Auto Skills competition will award millions of dollars in scholarships this year to students at both the state and national level.
