Congratulations and welcome to our newest attorney! Meaghan Griffin was sworn in yesterday before the Honorable Salvatore Agati at Waterbury Superior Court. Meaghan practices in the field of personal injury and is admitted to practice in the State of Connecticut. Meaghan graduated from Providence College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and obtained her Juris Doctorate Degree from Ave Maria School of Law in Naples, Florida. After her first year of law school, Meaghan was a summer intern for the Attorney General for the State of Connecticut where she worked with the Department of Child Protection. The following summer, Meaghan earned academic credit in international law while studying abroad in Rio De Janeiro. She spent the rest of her summer as an intern for the New Haven Legal Aid Association (NHLAA), where she was assigned a position in the Juvenile Matters Unit. During Meaghan’s final year of law school, she obtained an externship at the Powell Law Firm, a civil litigation and appellate advocacy firm in Fort Myers, Florida. Throughout law school, she actively competed as a team member on her school’s Moot Court Board. Meaghan is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, and the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association. Dedicated to being an active member of her community, she is also a member of the Waterbury Bar Association and Young Professionals of Greater Waterbury Region (YPOWR)
