Congratulations to Ben Abanat (Year 11) who has been awarded the National Summer Art Scholarship 2015. This January Ben will spend a week (all expenses paid) at the National Gallery of Australia in Canberra. Ben will work with 15 other students to learn about the National Art collection, participate in workshops and receive expert tuition from Gallery staff and professional artists. Bens chosen artwork was a visual response to Cameron Robbins Wind Drawing. His organic application of paint suggests themes of nature, with the use of resin reflecting the modern, technological world we live in. We are so proud of Ben and trust his week in Canberra will prepare him well for Art next year.
