Congratulations to Chris Robertson on being elected District 1 City Councilman tonight. District 1 had a great group of candidates to choose from in Chris and Randall Haymon. I know both candidates ran strong and spent a lot of effort and energy and money, and sacrificed a lot of time away from their family. I know firsthand that a campaign is tough for all concerned. Public service is not easy and all these candidates are to be commended for signing up...Leesville now has a new Mayor and Council elected. I look forward as Police Juror to working with them to make improvements in Leesville and Vernon Parish, which has always been my goal as an elected official.
