Congratulations to Dr. Aryeh Fischer, who was recently named the Scleroderma Foundations 2014 Doctor of the Year. The award recognizes a skilled physician or researcher for his or her involvement with the foundation, and for helping provide guidance and support to the organization’s patient population. #Scleroderma, or systemic sclerosis, is an #autoimmune rheumatic disease. The name scleroderma comes from Greek for hard skin, which is a hallmark symptom of the disease. Dr. Fischer will receive his award during this year’s National Patient Education Conference, to be held next month in Anaheim.
