Congratulations to Fritz Erickson, provost and vice president for Academic Affairs at Ferris State University, for being named the 15th president of Northern Michigan University. The announcement was made today, April 22. Dr. Erickson was named president by a unanimous NMU Board of Trustees vote. We thank Fritz for his outstanding service to Ferris and wish him and his wife, Jan, all the best as they write a new chapter in Marquette. Said Ferris President David Eisler, Dr. Erickson has done a superb job as provost and vice president for Academic Affairs at Ferris. He is ready for the challenge of leading Northern Michigan University as its next president and am very delighted for him and his wife, Jan.
