Congratulations to MIT Sloan professors Duncan Simester and Erik Brynjolfsson who won the (first annual) 2013 Management Science Best Paper Award in Information Systems, sponsored by the INFORMS (Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences) Information Systems Society (ISS). The award recognizes the best contribution to the theory and practice of information systems among papers published in Management Science in the previous three years. Simester is faculty director of our Strategic Marketing for the Technical Executive program (executive.mit.edu/mkt), and also teaches in Driving Strategic Innovation (executive.mit.edu/dsi), the Global Executive Academy (executive.mit.edu/gea), and the Advanced Management Program (executive.mit.edu/amp.) Bryjolfsson is faculty director of our Big Data program (executive.mit.edu/data) and also teaches in the Advanced Management Program (executive.mit.edu/amp).
