Congratulations to SIX final-year engineering students in the Faculty of Science & Technology at The University of the West Indies , Mona Campus who have received the LIME Foundations 10th anniversary scholarships. The recipients are Thovar Green, who is majoring in computer sciences; Alton Daley, who is majoring in energy and environmental physics; Kevaun Stewart, Moran Singh, and Chadwick Barclay, who are all majoring in electronics engineering; and Bavin Edwards, who is majoring in physics with education. Four of the recipients will receive $300,000 each, while the others will receive $150,000 each to enable them to complete their final year of study -- the 2014/15 academic year. The scholarships were awarded based on academic performance, financial need and general citizenship. The recipients are expected to complete 100 hours of community service, either with the LIME Foundation or UWI Development and Endowment Fund. Source: Jamaica Observer
