Congratulations to Stephen Allan from JNI who has been appointed the new West a Region Commissioner. Stephen Allan has been a lifetime member of the 7th Paisley (JNI) Scout Group. He was awarded the Queens Scout Award as a Venture Scout. His first leadership role was as Cub Scout Leader in the same Group. Between 2004 and 2009 he was the DC of Paisley & District. In the past five years he has been the GSL of the 7th Paisley (JNI) Group. With his Group Leadership team he secured substantial investment into the group meeting hall, such that it is now used by over 1000 young people, from within and outwith Scouting, each week. Stephen has a broad experience of Scouting including running many camps and mountaineering expeditions and was a member of the Contingent Support Team to the World Scout Jamboree to Korea in 1991. Professionally, Stephen works as a Financial Controller with British Polythene. He is married with 3 children, all of whom are in Scouting.
