Congratulations to all the volunteers and the local chapter of the American Red Cross for a successful new fun event with a cool vibe which brought more than 800 individuals of all ages to Downtown Decatur over the course of the day. For those who are unfamiliar with the event, take time to read the Decatur Daily article offering a schedule of the event and bios for the musical acts that volunteered their time to play. It was nice to see a lot of new younger faces visiting our City Center. Kudos to Chris Kemp of Madison, coordinator of the event, for seeing the potential in Decatur as the event site and for making a strong effort to invite individuals from outside of Decatur to pay our city a visit. And the good news . . . money was raised to assist tornado victims in North Alabama.
