Congratulations to our dear friend and Hero Sergeant First Class - TopicsExpress

Congratulations to our dear friend and Hero Sergeant First Class Cory Remsburg on his military retirement which takes place today at ADACG on Hunter AAF, Savannah, GA. Cory graduated from Ritenour High School in Overland, Missouri in June 2001. He became interested in the U.S. Army Rangers while in High School because, quite simply, ‘he wanted to be the best.’ A month after his High School graduation, Cory entered the U.S. Army from his hometown of St. Louis, MO. He attended One Station Unit Training, Basic Airborne Course and the Ranger Assessment and Selection Program at Fort Benning and was assigned to 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Hunter Army Airfield, Savannah, Georgia where he served since 2002. SFC Remsburg served multiple deployments to both Iraq and Afghanistan. On October 1, 2009, while on his 10th deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, SFC Remsburg was critically wounded by a 500-pound improvised explosive device (IED). Since sustaining his life-altering injuries, no one has worked harder to regain his independence and quality of life than Cory. Cory you are a true American Hero. We are so proud of you and your accomplishments and wish you all the best. You can always count on Army Ranger Lead The Way Fund to stand by your side - now and in the future. RANGERS LEAD THE WAY!
