Congratulations to the Lake Jackson Symphonic Band!!! The Region Level listening of the Texas Honor Band process was held Thursday in Clear Lake. Recordings from nine very competitive programs were heard. Lake Jackson Intermediate and Nolan Ryan Junior High were chosen to advance to the Area Level of the Honor Band process. This is a very high achievement! The students worked very hard to get the recordings submitted to this contest. Students, parents, and teachers have a lot to be proud of. The Area Level listening will be held at the end of the month. Recordings from 5 other region advancers will be heard in addition to Lake Jackson Intermediate and Nolan Ryan Junior High. The top 2 will then advance to the State Level where the State Honor Band will be named at the end of July. This is a proud moment for the Lake Jackson Intermediate Band Program. Thanks to everyone for the hard work and large scale team effort to put together a great recording for this contest. Once again, LJI is showing they are the Leaders and Best! Great job students and Directors!
