Congress leader slams seniors, praises MIM Hyderabad : Former General Secretary of Pradesh Congress Committee Shanta Srivastav on Tuesday strongly criticised the TPCC leaders for ignoring the real workers in allocation of tickets. Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan here, Srivastav alleged that TPCC President Ponnala Lakshmaiah lobbied hard to get ticket for his daughter-in-law. Similarly, Mohammad Ali Shabbir and K Jana Reddy sought tickets for their sons. In the process, they completely ignored the genuine workers of the Congress party. Srivastav expressed regret over the denial of tickets to Muslims by the Congress party and asked the minority community leaders to join the MIM, which proved its secularism by nominating many non-Muslim candidates. He also asked TDP to explain whether it fully agrees with the BJPs manifesto. If it doesnt, then it should end the alliance with the BJP, he said. INN
