Congress today unanimously passed the National Estuary Program Reauthorization bill, of which I am a proud cosponsor. The bill will help protect the 28 watersheds around the nation. Right here, the Tampa Bay Estuary contains one of the most vibrant and productive ecosystems along the gulf coast. Protecting the vitality of the Estuary as a habitat for wildlife, as well as a setting for recreation and tourism is critical.
