Connecting the dots through data visibility; a milestone in Rwanda. Great job SCMS staff in Rwanda! As a last step prior to implementation, SCMS completed the eLMIS interface with the MPDD (central medical store) SAGE L500 warehouse management system (WMS) to ensure that the visibility of commodities from the central warehouse is transferred seamlessly to the eLMIS and from there on there’s visibility into the entire supply chain from the central level to the service delivery points. Upon completion, SCMS, in collaboration with the MOH’s Logistics Management Office (LMO) teams, successfully implemented the eLMIS system in Bugesera District. The system was implemented at 19 facilities including MPPD, LMO, one district pharmacy, one district hospital and 17 health centers. It was rolled out to 68 users who have to date completed a full cycle of ordering, transportation, inventory and warehouse management between all facilities and the central warehouse.
