“Conservative groups have already spent at least $15.8 million on issue ads to promote Republican candidates and attack Democrats ahead of the November midterms” -- The Huffington Post, 1/4/14 Dear Randall, I’ve got some good news and bad news. The bad news: The Koch brothers and their network of special interest allies are spending big in 2014, using their deep pockets and Tea Party connections to attack Democrats like Tom. The good news: The outside special interests have played this hand before, back in 2012 when they pumped more than $400 million into elections all across the country, and we know how to fight back. Contribute $5 or more today to help us hit our $50,000 January goal and keep our grassroots network prepared. We have a tough road ahead of us. The Koch brothers-backed group, Americans for Prosperity, has already targeted Tom with attack ads. The extreme right would love nothing more than to steal Tom’s U.S. Senate seat and install one of their Tea Party radicals in his place. But the Kochs and their Tea Party allies have already put their cards on the table -- we know their strategy. And we know how to fight back. Now, it’s up to us to stay focused -- from now until the polls close in November -- on making sure that Tom has the grassroots support he needs to win. Give $5 or $10 today. Thank you for all that you’re doing for Tom and for the campaign. Your support is truly appreciated. Sincerely, Meredith Meredith Dixon Finance Director Udall for Us All P.S.
