This is because conservatives arent terribly smart, so they dont know that, in point of fact, overall crime, murders and gun violence have all been trending DOWN in Chicago for decades, with a fit small fits and starts, and steeply down after Chicago began enacting tough restrictions on guns in 1982. Then a funny thing happened. The Supreme Court struck down Chicagos tough gun law. Guess what happened? Its no doubt just a co-inky-dink, but gun crime and murder rate skyrocketed for the first time in decades. Dont fall for gun nut lies. Well, theyre not lies. The poor fools just dont know any better. But maybe, just maybe, they can see whats really happening and what has happened in Chicago if its put in the form of simple graphs like these, based on numbers from the FBI...
