Considering how I felt I could not have had a better transfer. A hotel staff carried my luggage to the motocoche that another member of staff had called to the door. At the airport, someone was there with a trolley and carried and pushed my bags to the airline check in. At the check in, I was offered for my main rucksack to be transferred to Puno, rather than having to carry it around all night with with in Lima airport. Slight hick up was my fault, my brain must have been foggy when I packed, I had left my Swiss knife in my hand bag. They did not spot it coming out of Iquitos but they did spot it in Lima. I pleaded with them, saying I needed it and asked if there was an option rather than it going into the bin. They told me to go and talk to the airline. The airline checked my hand luggage as hold luggage free of charge. Luckily I had bought some wonderful republica del cacao chocolate and they had given me a bag so I was able to transfer the sensitive items to take with me in the plane. I was glad not to have to carry the 9kgs anymore! On arrival in Juliaca, there was a collective minibus waiting, and within 5 minutes we went. Now in Puno, lake titicaca, they have a fiesta outside the hotel! Need to go. Today mission, find out how I am getting into Bolivia.
