Constitutional Law Moot Court, save the date! Can Congress, - TopicsExpress

Constitutional Law Moot Court, save the date! Can Congress, with its constitutional power to regulate commerce...among the several states, regulate animal fighting? Can the federal government prohibit an individual from bringing a child to an animal fighting event? Or, is this an issue best left to the states? These questions will be addressed in the case Harvey Dunham vs. United States, which will be argued in moot court on Wednesday December 4th at 6:30PM in Grewen Auditorium. This is the capstone project for American Constitutional Law I students. Arguments will last approximately 1 hour. Come join us as student attorneys and justices debate the interstate commerce clause and determine whether the federal Animal Welfare Act is constitutional. Refreshments will be provided.
