Construction on the Bright section of the Harrietville – Bright Shared Trail started last week. Tenders for the river and creek bridges have closed and are currently being evaluated. The bridge contract will be awarded at Council‘s August Meeting, with on-site works due to commence around October. Construction at the Bright end of the trail has included the installation of the required culvert extensions, between Racecourse Rd and Tawonga Gap Rd. New trail construction on the north side of Delaney Ave between Racecourse Rd and Tyntynder Lane began last week. Renewal of the existing trail between Churchill Ave and Cherry Lane also started last week. These photos were taken at the Harrietville end looking through Frasers Paddock. You can see that the corridor has been cleared, but the gravel base has not yet been constructed.
