Consumer Beware. So everyone, please believe me that I don’t - TopicsExpress

Consumer Beware. So everyone, please believe me that I don’t typically complain without reason or feeling; and of course if I didn’t care, I wouldn’t, but I have to speak out for one last time. I used to love GODSEY’S GRILL of Jonesboro. Their food and service was second to none. I once had the best spaghetti and meatballs EVER there, and I got to try new things like a burger with peanut butter on it (weird, but good). Within this last year though, their customer service has gone way down. It began with me in store ordering a burger which I asked them to leave off the onions so I got a bun and a piece of meat, nothing else. After the benefit of doubt that it was a single incident, we returned, this time receiving our appetizers well after we received our meal, and a refill was almost impossible to secure. The next few times we tried to eat from there was to be carryout, (3 more times to be exact), 1st time, part of the order was missing when we got home (my fault I guess for not checking, but I thought the place was better than like being at taco bell); 2nd time we ordered a pizza (they HAD great pizzas) but after about 20 minutes, I received a call after we were already there and just parked that they weren’t doing pizza’s that night (oh the irritation), and finally the 3rd time we were going to try and get one of their USED TO BE AWESOME Pizzas, but their stone oven (granted that a stone oven is basically a fire pit) was broken (can’t figure that one out at all). To end this, it’s been awhile, time had passed and we found ourselves downtown last night around 7:45 to 8 and I thought let’s give them one last shot, (this was about 8P.M.) sadly, we parked, walked in, signed in, the place was ¾ empty, some un-bussed tables about the place, and no one at the door. We waited, no one came, then a customer, sleeveless t-shirt and all got up from his table and tried to find some menus at the sign in station at the door to seat us. We graciously thanked him and said it is alright, we would just leave; which we did. In the few minutes it took us to get to the vehicle I glanced back and noticed an employee had stuck her head out the door looking for someone, we figured the sleeveless man informed her about us waiting there, but who knows what she was looking for. One thing I have learned is that if you do complain or just say anything less than great (to them on their Facebook) they block you from being able to comment on your experiences with them, they don’t do anything to make it better or fix a situation, but rather try to quiet your voice. So in closing, anyone that reads this and wants to share it with Godsey’s, feel free to do so…It is sad that such a good place has fallen so low…..back to last night though….Vino’s downtown was great!
