Continuing on having a themed post each month that we’ll pin for a while for people to comment on, and we’ll gather the info and save it in a file. We thought the themed posts would be useful for members new to Steampunk and to give everyone perhaps a few new ideas. The theme for this month is: Military clothing, accessories and were find them Many of us know that the military look can be very a impressive and popular choice for many members and makes fantastic photo opportunity However out of experience it can one of the most frustrating, difficult and fiddly sets of clothing to work with and put together along with finding so I know of a number of places to get great items along with some experiences i can share Failsworth Antiques Mill can be a bit of an Aladdins cave there is not guarantee on what your looking for but when you strike gold you can find some amazing stuff New Cross Army Surplus for some of your more basic items cap badges leather gloves cotton gloves and NO1 dress trousers (the ones the red strip down them) along with pith helmets and other good finds. Platoons in Bury well now this place is awesome pricey but very much stock high with many many great items from swords to tunics really great place to go Now does anyone else know of any other great places to shop along with tips and advice?
