Continuing with my presentation of the ABCs of the Golden Decade - TopicsExpress

Continuing with my presentation of the ABCs of the Golden Decade of Music 1965-1974, where I am selecting the artists alphabetically and playing selections of their songs I liked or found influential from that Golden Decade. I am currently in the Cs and playing one more of the memorable songs from Chicago, a band formed in 1967 in Chicago, IL. The group had a steady stream of hits throughout the 70s and 80s, 2nd only to The Beach Boys in Billboard singles and albums chart success among American bands. Over the course of their career they have had five number-one albums and 21 top-ten singles, accumulating 23 gold, 18 platinum, and 8 multi-platinum albums. The final song I am selecting of Chicago’s from the GDM is (Ive Been) Searchin So Long, a song written by James Pankow recorded for their ‘74 album Chicago VII. This was the first single released from that album, reaching #9 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. Foreshadowing the two lead vocals that Pankow would later do, this song features his first credited backing vocals. https://youtube/watch?v=iA4xQPfVopI
