Contradicting preseason forecasts of colder winter or warmer - TopicsExpress

Contradicting preseason forecasts of colder winter or warmer winter, provides an early morning chuckle when considering raised hopes on both spectrum ends. Six days into December with no snow in southwest Michigan is due to El Niño’s warm Pacific currents. The heavy downfall of snow in November has melted and city streets are dry, but lighted Christmas decorations are always enhanced with an evening’s cold sparkling snow. Some may be unimpressed with a drab warm do-nothing Saturday morning. But the lazy angles of bare charcoal limbs hanging above the old white pick up parked beside the grey house with the red second story dormer, segmented by the intersecting naked branches below a brown leafy knot of a squirrel’s nest, secured in the forks of small branches swaying gently in the tree top, are blessings enough to be enjoyed. Peace.
