Contrary to recent history, blacks and whites have not been adversaries, but allies throughout most of history. There were black kings in Europe just as there have been black presidents in the United States. But there have always been instigators of trouble and the misrepresentation of these incidents by people who record and report incidents and history. The most trouble over the last few hundred years have been the people who dwell in the silk road, the highway between Africa and Asia that we call the middle east. There were no natural assets in the middle east until we came into the industrial age and needed oil. They robbed the travelers going back and forth between the two continents. The word that we get for slavery was taken from the amount of Slavic people or Slav(e)s that the Arab s took into slavery. It was the Arabs who first took Africans in slavery long before American slavery. When Blumenbach and Hegel wrote the pseudo science of race and the study of the Roman class system, it was the Europeans trying to guard against middle eastern on the lowest level from moving to power position. You dont need blue bloods, white skin and blue veins to differentiate a European from an African. But because the middle eastern can intermarry and pass to both African and European people, the blue blood becomes a distinction. Thats the reason the one drop rule was passed to prevent the middle eastern from getting into the power class. Blumenbach defined whiteness and Hegel defined the Bourgeois and proletariat to separate the darker workers from the baron and viscount class. Blacks were in all those classes. In many pictures of George Washington, the black man in the background is an advisor and higher rank than George Washington. But there were many more classes from Vizer, Count, Duke, Baron, Earle, Prince, Senator, Equestrian, Nobles, Priest, Archbishop, King, etc. Our two most famous jazz artist Duke Ellington and Count Basie took names from these classes. In the late 1700s and early 1800s Blumenbach and Hegel designed class to keep whites, middle east, gypsies, etc in a perpetual battle against blacks to protect the baron and viscount classes which were the lowest on the totem pole. Above those two classes, there is no concept of race. America has always had imigrants to replenish the population because under normal circumstances blacks would become the largest population group. In the 1900s America allowed immigration from Italian, Greek, middle easterners, Jews, Spain, South America. All of the imigrants were darker than the previous imigrants. They changed their names, got plastic surgery and did everything possible to blend in. In 1950s after WWII, the VA mortgages and VA student loans and the suburbs created the ultimate melting pot. Except blacks were red lined and kept in the ghettos. But look at the instigator and recorders of history and media have continued the divide and conquer.
