Contribute your Zakat money to those disadvantage students to help them to build a brighter future, in future who will build a brighter Bangladesh Hi, By the grace of Almighty Allah, we are all blessed with another month of Ramadan in our lives. We all know this is the month for giving and Islam emphasizes the links between charity and education. Our prophet Muhammad (peace be on him) is reported to have said that every act of kindness is charity and also that teaching and spreading knowledge is a good deed for which a person will continue to receive reward after his/her death (known as Sadaqah Jariyah). We all know the very first word that was revealed in the Holy Qur’an is “Read” and the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is reported to have said that the ink of the scholar is holier than the blood of the martyr. We are making an appeal here for your Zakat money. Helping the poor children in Bangladesh to attend school is clearly a very high form of charity. And if you make that happen particularly in the month of Ramadan you would have multiplied Allah’s reward many fold for your act of kindness. The support received from your Zakat would be channeled by VABC will directly provide scholarship funding for education of children from very poor families. The estimated amount needed for scholarship in 2013 is 30 lac taka. We need your generosity to improve the educational opportunities of the rural poor in Bangladesh. We wish to end our letter citing two quotations from the Holy Qur’an: Those who believe, and do deeds of righteousness, and establish regular prayers and regular charity, will have their reward with their Lord: on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve. [Chapter2, Verse 277]. By no means shall you attain righteousness unless you give freely of that which you love, and whatever you give, Allah knows it well" [Chapter3, Verse 92]. In this spirit, may we appeal to you to consider your generous charity, in general or for Zakat specifically, or both, for VABC to help the needy students in Bangladesh. We look forward to hearing from you. May Allah grant you and your family a happy and blessed Ramadan.
