Controversy has erupted among members of the family of country’s founding president Kamuzu Banda over a piece of land which Kamuzu Academy has sublet to the country’s first gentle Richard Banda in Kasungu. A member of the family Group Village Headman Mphonongo told Zodiak Online that some family members are leasing out the land without proper consultation. The concerned members claim they have since written the office of the president and cabinet restraining the first gentleman from carrying out any activities on the land until the family members resolve their differences. The first gentleman’s personal assistant Guendo Ligowe has confirmed to ZBS that retired chief justice Richard Banda wants to use the land for farming. Listen to ZBS for more.
