Conversation with Sarah Elisabeth (character names only initials to prevent spoilers): Sarah: Okay, let me get this straight, D is the half-brother to both S and E, but neither S and E are related. Me: Yes. Sarah: Ds father is Ss dad, and his mother is Es mom--right? Me: Yep. Sarah: So put the three in the room, and suddenly theyre all related, but take D out of the room, and suddenly theyre not related at all. Me: Its confusing when you put it that way. So we couldnt make S and E a couple because technically, with D in the mix, theyre siblings? Sarah: No, S and E arent related at all! They have completely different sets of parents. Me: Yes, but when Ds there, E would view him as her half-brother, and because hes also the half-brother of S, then its almost like E and S are siblings too. Sarah: Well, S and E would never get into a relationship. Besides, T and E are more likely to get into a relationship. Me: But T is ALSO the half-brother of S, but not related to E in any way. Sarah: How did this get so confusing? Me: You can thank the characters for that.
