No local screenings coming that I know of, but Dave was telling me about seeing a recent screening where a lot of the artists inteviewed were in attendance. The Color of Noise by Eric Robel and Michael Dimmitt. Chronicling the rise of legendary noise-rock/alternative label Amphetamine Reptile, The Color of Noise is the story of founder/madman Tom Hazelmeyer and the bands that be helped shepherd in the 80s/90s. Those bands, with names like Helmet, Melvins, Hammerhead, Cows, Today is the Day and more, helped define a sound for the era, paving the path for a whole new genre of music and influencing millions in the process.
