Our role is to provide youth with direct access to unconditional participation by providing them with practical tools and models for developing community-wide initiatives. Position Summary: Senior Program Specialist, under the supervision of Etijah’s CEO, will be working on two projects (1 a mapping exercise of youth organizations / groups in Egypt; and (2 capacity building project for youth organizations. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Mapping youth organizations project: • Execute the mapping methodology including identifying and implementing improvements; • Oversee the data collection process which includes the training and supervision of field workers, and the online data collection system. • Manage the online directory and the methods of online data collection/ registration; • Lead the data analysis and the drafting of a final analysis report; • Coordinate and in some cases supervise of other contributors in the project, including the members of staff and consultants who help execute the project; • Work with data visualization and other web/print design consultants to convey the online directory and the final report in a powerful and accessible manner; • Present of research findings at events and other dissemination activities including training programs. Capacity building for youth organizations: • Conduct participatory capacity assessment of partner organizations and their staff focusing on areas including project design, planning, project management, fundraising, monitoring and evaluation, reporting, and networking etc. • Provide direct technical oversight to partner organizations in the area of proposal writing and reporting through creating simple Arabic/ English toolkit, holding training and providing case by case coaching. Other: • Execute additional tasks related to project reporting and proposal writing that advance Etijah profile; • Advance the organization’s intellectual growth and productivity by offering insights and contributions to other research projects. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in social work, social sciences, development studies, or other relevant subject. • 3-5 years’ work experience in the field of NGO partnership and/or organizational capacity building of a wide range of NGOs. • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills. • Fluent in English and Arabic. • Team player, committed to motivating and leading staff. • Comfort using SPSS application (or similar).
