Cornwall Municipal Election: A week has gone by without Jamie Gilcig(sometimes he spells it ghilcig) answering questions directed to him about his political campaign. Strange lack of action considering he has referred to the incumbent mayor as chicken for supposedly not answering questions while on the campaign trail. Additionally, he has not submitted any questionaire answers on local media. You stated on your blog Mr. McIntosh has been around Cornwall as a writer for over 40 years. His civic achievements are very minimal. Other than expelling your blog onto the internet from your Cornwall residence, what achievements in Cornwall have you made? What qualifications do you have to be mayor? If dressing for a forum/debate for candidates is a major issue for you, what of showing up daily for 4 years as mayor? Doubtful? You were successfully taken to court because of not repaying a personal loan. With that in your personal history, why should voters elect you into a civic position that has influence over use of tax money? You are still attending court as a defendant against civil allegations along the lines of defamation and against criminal charges of issuing threats. You were banned from this free speech page with just cause. With those things in mind, should voters elect you? Is not the honorable thing to do is excuse yourself from political aspirations until/if you are clear of legal proceedings?
