Corporate welfare queens: The deal was that tax payers would get a card worth their tax refund and get a 1-time withdrawal FREE, but Xerox charged them all $2. Calls to the toll-free number were capped at two free calls per month, but, again Xerox charged a $2 fee. Xerox "incorrectly" assessed fees on other accounts and, in cahoots with MasterCard, sent out cards with a fake phone number AND MasterCard member banks refused to honor some cards altogether.
