Could not help but mention a conversation I had with a younger DJ - TopicsExpress

Could not help but mention a conversation I had with a younger DJ via chat this morning. Amung a few things we talked about was his own disheartened observation of a white majority on the forefront of the movement. I think like many others he has seen the reaction by many other people of color to recent Dj charts. I know that I have seen plenty in my own news feed here on this forum. Is it the gentrification of major cities we asked? All I know is that whoever you are you cant wait for a break. We have to do our own events and share our own influences from our roots while being receptive to others. So how does a Black or Latin DJ cervive in a Burlin music inspiring Los Angeles? We dont need to buckle to going trends only be receptive and play from our hearts and experiences ect... One of my favorite and clear examples of this kind of roots fusioning is This track. The artest was born and raised in Spain for a portion of his life and later moved to Germany where he was also raised. That comes through in this track bacuase he is not hiding anything. Dont wait for the words.
