Counting for 10 assembly constituencies planned at Porompat MU NEWS/IMPHAL, April 24 : Counting of votes in connection with general elections to Lok Sabha 2014 for ten assembly constituencies(AC) in Manipur’s Imphal East district will be held at three counting centres namely Porompat, Sawombung and Keirao Bitra on May 16 counting day. Counting for Kshetrigao, Thongju, Yaiskul, Wangkhei ACs will be held at DIC Training hall DIC complex at Porompat from 8 am onwards. Similarly counting for Khundrakpam,Heingang, Khurai and Lamlai ACs at Panchayar Bhavan hall I at DC’s office Porompat at the same time. But for Keirao and Andro at at Panchayar Bhavan hall II at DC’s office Porompat, according to notice issued by the DC Imphal East district M Joy Singh.It also asked the contesting candidate/election agents to appoint their respective counting agents according to the number of counting tables and they’re asked to submit two copies of passport size photographs to the concerned assistant returning officers or sub-divisional officers concerned on or before May 7.
