County Fair Exhibitors: If you dont know your cattle, lambs, horses are under fed...you probably shouldnt own them. If you dont know by now after 20 yrs of showing that your cattle, lambs, horses are under fed.....you should be ashamed of yourself and seek nutritional advise and or not own them. If at the ripe age of 30 and you still throw a temper tantrum in the show ring because you got last due to your cattle, lambs, horses are under fed. You need tied up and fed the same ratio youre feeding them. And then lets see what your thoughts are on your feeding program. If youre carrying a heavy condition but your cattle, lambs, horses rib cages are noticeably showing. Seek nutritional advise. Its clear you dont understand nutrition. Im amazed at the amount of these so called show operations that exhibit at county fairs that have no idea what the hell they are doing, but believe they do. How can you exhibit an animal so patheticly cared for, under fed and confirmationally not correct but you still stand proud that you are an amazing livestock contender. How does one look at an animal and intelligently believe its fed properly. Do you not travel to other shows or look at the animals standing ahead of you in class? It doesnt matter how fancy your jeans are or how expensive your boots are or how much bling you are wearing. Instead of spending hours on the shopping network buying clothes, how about researching animal nutrition as well as spend a lot less money one your appearance and a lot more in feed. Breeding to the nations top show bull doesnt mean squat unless you properly feed the offspring. If the offspring cannot walk without a limp or has a buckled knee.....dont bring it to a show and then complain you got beat. If you cant afford to feed 10 head of show cattle, then show less or show a smaller species!! Its that simple. And how does one learn when the 4H leaders animals look just as bad if not worse. Its time to wake up county fairs and these so called livestock show operations. Instead of worthless, bickering, complaining monthly meetings, try seeking out livestock specialist to attend and educate these folks on proper nutrition and show ring etiquette. Simply ridiculous and completely uncalled for!!!!
