*Courtesy Post* Meet Diamond! Diamond has quite a story and is a true survivor! Diamond is a 7 year old red female pitbull mix who came to ACC as a severe cruelty case in July. She weighed 27 pounds (half of her current weight), was burned on her back, and sick with heartworm disease, amongst other other health issues. She was terrified of everything and just hid in her kennel. As she was a cruelty case, she could not be placed up for adoption until the case was closed. During this time, Dr. Amanda Miller fostered her and treated her heartworm disease. Thanks to Dr. Millers technicians, Diamond quickly came out of her shell. She is an absolutely lovely dog! She loves hugs and belly rubs and will let you do anything to her. She hasnt met a person she doesnt love. She is wonderful with every dog she has met, big and small, young and old, dominant and submissive. Diamond does have a high prey drive and does not do well with cats or livestock. She does not have any obedience training but comes when she is called and would be a quick learner. She loves to chase tennis balls. She is crate trained. Diamond needs work on house training as she spent her life on a chain and has been in a kennel since then. She really wants to please though and should learn quickly. Diamond is due back at the shelter on Dec 10th to go up for adoption. Please consider adding her to your family. She deserves love and stability for the rest of her life. Diamond is completely healthy and looking for an ADOPTER! Dr Miller is our amazing vet that has been caring for Papa Bear and we really would like to aid in finding a home for Diamond. Please email danielleacannon@gmail if you are interested in adopting Diamond. She is located in Wellington, FL (Palm Beach County)
