POSITION SUMMARY Title: Group Volunteer Leader Department: Operations Hours: Approximately 20-30 hours per week, including 1 weekend day per week, between 9-5pm *Must be available Tuesday evenings and weekends* Location: Brighton, MA About Cradles to Crayons: Cradles to Crayons (C2C) was launched in 2002 with the mission to provide children from birth to age 12 with the essential items they need to thrive - at home, at school and at play. We do this free of charge by engaging communities that have with communities that need. We partner with schools, corporations and community groups for donations, and with social-service organizations serving homeless and low-income families, and connect communities that have surplus new or used items in good condition with communities that need access to those resources. About the position: The Group Volunteer Leader oversees many of our 30,000 volunteers each year through all steps of their engagement process within our Giving Factory. The Group Volunteer Leader is responsible for providing a quality orientation and wrap-up and explaining Cradles to Crayons’ mission and values. This individual is also responsible for following work station guidelines and expectations during volunteer projects and maintaining an outgoing, positive attitude. They have a demonstrated ability to work with volunteers of all ages and abilities and with a group of up to 30 individuals at a time. The Group Volunteer Leader will work approximately 20-30 hours per week, including most weekends (either Saturday or Sunday) and occasional evenings.
