Cranes target revenge over Lone Stars Uganda Cranes Coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has said they are taking nothing for granted and need a win over Liberia in the 2014 World Cup qualifier on Saturday. The Serb told the Media this afternoon in an exclusive interview that his boys are rearing to go past Liberia. “Based on the talent and focus of the players, we are expecting a good performance on Saturday,” added Micho. He also revealed that his experienced duo of Emmanuel Okwi (Du Sahel, Tunisia) and Cyprus-based striker Geoffrey Massa will lead the attack for goals, while competition for the central defence is very stiff, with skipper Andy Mwesigwa, Isaac Isinde and US-based Henry Kalungi all in contention. Uganda, fresh from a 3-0 loss to Libya in an International friendly, cannot afford a loss as they bottom of Group J with two points. Senegal top the group with five points, while Liberia are in second place and Angola third. Micho, the former Rwanda Coach said he will also rely on fans to cheer the team on to get a positive result. “We call upon all Ugandan fans to come in big numbers to support us,” added Micho. The Lone Stars will be hoping that Anthony Laffor passes a late fitness test, while Patrick Wleh, scorer of one of the goals in their 2-0 win over the same team in Monrovia, will be a starter on the team. “We are here for serious business and the boys know what to expect,” Coach Frank W.Nagwe told the Media.
