Crap... not good news... Some of yall have been following our adventure in home buying, in anticipation of the revival of the Mini-Rallys of old... So heres the latest. Were supposed to close tomorrow, after numerous postponements. I am trying to get the closing scheduled for first thing in the morning, Lowes only delivers that far out on Fridays and we need to close so they can deliver (seller wont give us any slack). We are really hoping the timing works for that, otherwise were pretty screwed (which is what I expect, as this whole deal has been like that, screwed). To say I am completely out of patience would be an understatement. THEN... Margots Mom is having surgery next week, she has a pretty big tumor in her belly. Were not sure what thats about, wont really know until the doc has it outta there. Margot is flying to Norfolk on Tuesday, she wont be home until the 28th at the earliest. So heres the bottom line. I will still be cooking Saturday and Sunday (we gotta eat, right?) but we just cant handle a big crowd this soon. A minimalist affair at best, since well still be unpacking boxes and trying to get our home organized. Yeah... I have some stuff to put in the smoker :-) We still havent bought mattresses or box springs for three beds, we do have an inflatable mattress and a foam top pad if we need to break them out, we do have lots of floor space. Thats the latest, well be home, and if you want to stop in, or flop on the floor thats fine with us; well be happy to see ya, we may put ya to work unpacking boxes :-) It wont quite be like the parties of the past this time, but I promise yall we will continue the tradition in the style were accustomed to soon!
