Suspect approached the woman in Strandfontein road, grabbed her around the neck, told her not to scream and took for her cell phone. The suspect then let her go. A man walking past asked why the lady was crying and then assisted her in apprehending the suspect. Police arrived on site and took the suspect away and the lady got her phone back. The lady did open a case with the police. @ 18:12 Humewood. A suspect entered through a window on the second floor of a premises in Marshall street and took an electronic devise. A neighbour is the caretaker of the home as the owner is away. The neighbour will get hold of owner and speak to him. Monday 26 August 2013 @ 20:02 Summerstrand. A business owner in Torquay street pressed the panic alarm as people were making trouble on site. The men were intoxicated and causing trouble with the owner. The man said that the owner stole money, as he paid cash as well as had his card swiped. The man was threatening to hit the owner. The police was contacted. Sunday 25 August 2013 @ 10:53 Richmond Hill. A home owner in Campbell Street confirmed that his cell phone was stolen last night and they managed to track the phone to a house in Clivia Street near the Airport. He asked that Atlas notify the police. The details were handed over to the police. @ 11:53 Summerstrand. Atlas response reported a break at a home in Gomery place. Suspects pushed a branch on the fence gained entry to the premises. They then forced the back door open and entered. The owner of the premises is missing electronic items as well as the back door keys. Saturday 24 August 2013 @ 04:38 Central. Suspects forced a window open of a building in Bellmont street. Atlas could not get a hold of the owner so the security guard locked up and armed the premises. @ 18:02 Central. Neighberhood watch got a call that someone had thrown a brick through a window at a business in Landsdown place. T he owner said the window that was broken is far from the place where there is stored stuff. The owner confirmed that if they try and come back that they will not be able to get through so he is not going to worry so much about it. @18:30 Central. Atlas response reported that the man was shoplifting from a business in Landsdown place but is now willing to pay for the goods. Response spoke to the manager and she confirmed that the man had paid for his goods and that they will not be pressing charges, but will be banning the man from the shop. Friday 23 August 2013 @ 15:14 Central. Police was informed that there was a suspect on site at a home in Deare street. Police informed Atlas that an eyewitness saw the suspect jump over the fence and return with a laptop. They assume the suspect pulled the laptop through the window which was on a table close to the open window. The alarm was not armed. The owner was contacted and opened a case with the police. Two suspects were arrested. Wednesday 21 August 2013 @ 10:09 Richmond Hill. A member of the public requested that we send medical assistance to a home in Cooper street as a lady overdosed. The patient tried to commit suicide by drinking a mixture of thinners, bleach as well as whiskey. Paramedics arrived on the scene and transported the patient to hospital. Atlas response also found a suicide note lying on the bed.
